THE CAT 2017 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD PROGRAM
Crappie Anglers of Texas (CAT,) Scholarship program has 4 recipients this year. CAT awarded $2,500 to these deserving students. Our Program is a big success and we look forward to doing this next year!
The Crappie Anglers of Texas Scholarship Program (CATSP) seeks to identify high school seniors and college students who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must exhibit strong academic and leadership skills and must participate in community service activities.
Sarah Reicherts received a $1,000 scholarship! Sarah is from Carrollton, Texas and is a 2017 graduate from Cedar View High School. Her interesting and well thought out essay was titled “The Effects of Barometric Pressure on Fish”. Sarah will be attending TWU this fall.
Lauren Dukes received a $500 scholarship. She is a 2017 Graduate from Wylie East High School and lives in Murphy, TX. Lauren, who is an avid angler, wrote her essay on “Wildlife Fishing and Conservation”. She plans to attend Collin College in the Fall.
Alexis Russell received a $500 scholarship. She lives in Ft. Worth and is a 2017 graduate from Northwest High School. Her informative essay was written about “The Effects of Zebra Mussels”. Alexis will be going to Texas Tech in the fall.
Pake Bradshaw received a $500 scholarship. He is from Weatherford and is a 2017 graduate from North Hills Private School. Pake wrote his winning essay on “The Study on Chronic Wasting Disease”. He will be attending Weatherford College in the fall.
