2009 Crappie Tournament Schedule

There will be 6 Crappie Anglers of Texas Qualifier Tournaments in 2009 plus fun draw tournaments in February (at Ray Roberts), May (at Lavon) and December (at Cedar Creek). The board may also “sanction” other crappie tournaments in accordance with the tournament rules.

The crown jewel of the 2009 Crappie Anglers of Texas Tournament Series will be the brand-new CAT Texas State Championship to be held on October 16^th and 17^th at Richland-Chambers Reservoir.  For information on how to qualify for the 2009 CAT Texas State Championship and other tournament information, please review the new tournament rules.

 

NEW TOURNAMENT FORMAT

In 2009, each CAT Qualifier Tournament and the CAT Texas State Championship will have two separate divisions.  Fishermen will compete against other fishermen in their same division only.  Anybody can sign up and fish in Division 1, but Division 2 will be reserved exclusively for developing crappie fishermen—no guides or tournament professionals will be allowed to fish in Division 2.  For more information on this new format, please review the new tournament rules. 

 

ANGLER(S) OF THE YEAR COMPETITION

 

Each tournament Division will have its own “Angler(s) of the Year” competition in 2009.  Points for Angler(s) of the Year will be awarded to the “Team” in Division 1, and to the Individual anglers in Division 2.  For more information on the Angler(s) of the Year competition, please review the new tournament rules.
